Welcome to the Rotary Club of Ferrymead

Our club is a friendly group of people that unites together to support our local community, share fun and fellowship.

Our Club has a proud history of service to the local community and is actively involved with community, youth, vocational and international projects/programmes fulfilling Rotary's motto of Service Above Self.

We meet weekly, share a meal together, attend to business and listen to informative speakers on a regular basis. From time to time we have special events such as visits to places of interest, potluck dinners and other social events.

We meet for dinner each Tuesday from 5.45pm, at Speight’s Ale House in Ferrymead.  We welcome visitors and anyone interested in knowing more about what we do.

ShelterBox Display

ShelterBox is an international disaster relief charity that delivers emergency shelter, warmth and dignity to people affected by disaster worldwide.

Recently members of our club displayed a ShelterBox so that members of the public could see what it contained.  This was an excellent opportunity to raise the profile of both ShelterBox and our club. Arnold and Paddy from ShelterBox attended our club meeting.  They shared their knowledge of how ShelterBox was established and meets the needs of people in disasters worldwide, and also their own personal experiences of helping during a disaster i.e. Haiti.
